The two approved type families for the College of Charleston brand are Caslon Pro and Avenir Next. They are available through the Adobe Font Library as OpenType fonts, which means they may be used on both PCs and Macs. To request these fonts for use in College marketing and communications materials, please e-mail the Office of University Marketing.

Caslon Pro Font

Caslon Pro is the font used in the original United States Declaration of Independence, which was signed by three founders of the College of Charleston. It is the font of the College of Charleston wordmark.

Avenir Next LT Pro Font

Avenir Next LT Pro is the official sans-serif font. Its simplicity, readability and versatility recall Goudy while providing a more modern look. The alternative font to Avenir Next LT Pro is Helvetica.
